Description

WEICON Rust Converter: For the effective neutralisation of rust on rusty cast iron and steel surfaces. Protects from corrosion and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The Rust Converter is based on epoxy resin and forms a metallic-organic iron complex with the rust layer. This connection is stabilised by the special epoxy resin, which protects metals from external impacts. The black layer formed serves as base coat and is the foundation for the subsequent, permanent coating. The spray is anti-corrosive, has excellent capillary action and a high opacity. It is temperature-resistant up to +80 °C (short-term < 15 min. up to +160 °C), has good weather and UV resistance as well as excellent resistance to solvents. WEICON Rust Converter is free of heavy metals and mineral-acid. Rust Converter can be applied to all rusty areas, e.g. on machines or in plants, on agricultural equipment as well as motor vehicles. The spray can also be used as a protective, rust preventive layer.
