Three new tools for the solar sector
Weicon Tools Mini-Solar
The tool manufacturer Weicon Tools offers a whole range of special tools for the solar sector, which are used in the production, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems, solar thermal power plants and solar collectors. For this exciting and fast-growing economic sector, Weicon Tools has developed three additional tools – the Mini-Solar Strippers.
Strippers for the solar sector
The
solar market has developed tremendously in recent years all over the world.
Harnessing the power of the sun is an important part of modern energy
production. To meet the demands of the growing market and to respond to
technological adaptations, the tool manufacturer Weicon Tools has replaced its
previous No. 3 Mini-Solar Stripper with three new types of Mini-Solar Strippers
for the solar industry. The new strippers can be used to work on the entire
range of cables available on the market in the solar sector.
Mini-Solar Stripper
With the three Weicon Tools strippers of the Mini-Solar product line, all common solar cables, such as H1Z2Z2-K, can be stripped fast and easily. A manual adjustment of the cutting depth is not necessary. With the integrated length stop (from 6-28 mm) solar cables with a conductor cross-section of 1.5 & 2.5 mm², 4.0 & 6.0 mm² or 10.0 & 16.0 mm² can be stripped. In addition, the three models of the Mini-Solar have an easily accessible side cutter for cables up to 10 mm². Thanks to the precise adjustment during stripping, the strippers always ensure an accurate cutting structure.
Ergonomics and safety
In
the development of the tools, great attention was paid to an ergonomic design
in addition to user friendliness. The ergonomic, non-slip shape of the handle
and grip zones ensure a safe handling at all times and fatigue-free work even
over longer periods of time. Since the blades are located inside the tool, the
risk of injury is significantly reduced. The strippers can be locked for safe
and space-saving storage.
Made in Germany
As
usual with Weicon Tools, the strippers were developed and manufactured entirely
in Germany. The tools – made of robust glass-fibre reinforced polyamide – are
produced in the German town of Ascheberg, Westphalia, and the steel for the
knives is from Solingen. The tools are 125 mm long, weigh 58 grams each and are
delivered in a recyclable cardboard packaging.
